We are looking for a BESS Software Engineer to develop the software and control systems behind our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) platform.
This role focuses on Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and system control, contributing to reliable and intelligent energy storage solutions for the European market.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement BMS and EMS software for BESS solutions
Work on real-time control, monitoring, and optimization algorithms
Integrate software with inverters, battery systems, and grid interfaces
Develop system diagnostics, data monitoring, and performance tools
Collaborate with hardware and system engineers on integration and testing
Support commissioning and performance optimization of deployed systems
Contribute to technical aspects of customer projects and deployments
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
Experience with embedded systems, control systems, or industrial software
Knowledge of BMS, EMS, SCADA, or energy systems is highly valuable
Experience with real-time systems, data communication, and system integration
Practical, problem-solving mindset suited to a startup environment
Fluent English and Finnish are required
