We are looking for a SOURCING MANAGER!

Saxdor is growing quickly, and sourcing has a direct impact on cost, quality, lead time and production stability. As Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing across assigned categories: building the supplier base, leading RFQs, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring suppliers are prepared for new projects and volume ramp-ups in Finland and Poland. You will source direct materials that impact production, quality and lead time, working closely with Product, Engineering, Production and Quality. The role is hands-on and close to the business, with clear responsibility and practical execution.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead category sourcing activities aligned with Saxdor strategy and production needs

  • Own end-to-end RFQs and supplier selection, including cost, risk and total cost of ownership analysis

  • Supplier market mapping, evaluation and qualification to secure competitive and scalable partners

  • Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, lead times, MOQs, Incoterms/logistics, payment terms, warranties and claims handling

  • Draft and maintain sourcing agreements with management/legal (framework agreements, NDAs, code of conduct and commercial annexes)

  • Conduct cost and risk analysis to support sourcing decisions, business cases, dual sourcing, standardisation and cost improvement initiatives

  • Ensure supplier readiness for ramp-ups and new launches through capacity checks, lead time validation and contingency/recovery planning

  • Manage key supplier performance with purchasing via KPIs, QBRs, corrective actions and escalations

  • Support make-vs-buy and outsourcing initiatives with structured supplier preparedness plans

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Logistics on NPI and change management (requirements, timelines, impact and phase-in/out planning)

  • Maintain supplier/contract documentation and support category reviews, reporting and process development

  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, ethical standards and trade requirements

Your background

  • Strong experience in sourcing or commercial procurement and independent negotiations.

  • Experience with direct materials and manufacturing supply chains; marine, automotive, machinery or similar industries are a plus

  • Solid understanding of commercial terms and contracts (pricing, lead times, MOQs, warranties, Incoterms, payment terms) and framework agreements with supplier annexes (with legal support when needed)

  • Proven ability to assess supplier capability and capacity, and manage risk, escalation and delivery/quality issues

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a structured approach to documentation (SharePoint, supplier records, decision traceability); ERP knowledge is an advantage

  • Calm and resilient under pressure, able to drive issues to closure during ramp-ups, disruptions and engineering/product changes

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

  • Fluent in English; Finnish and/or Swedish are an advantage

  • Willingness to travel
